StreamBroadcaster at a glance
Short, quotable answers about what the platform is, who it serves, what it costs, and how creators earn.
- What is StreamBroadcaster?
- StreamBroadcaster is an all-in-one live broadcasting and OTT platform that lets independent creators run 24/7 TV-style channels: going live over WHIP or RTMP, producing content with AI, publishing native Roku, Fire TV and Android TV channels, and monetizing through memberships, tips, ads, a shop and a licensed content marketplace.
- Who is StreamBroadcaster for?
- It is built for independent creators, faith and community broadcasters, niche TV networks, podcasters moving to video, and small media companies that want professional broadcast operations without hiring a broadcast engineer.
- How much does StreamBroadcaster cost?
- There is a free plan with 5 GB of built-in storage. Paid tiers (Creator, Pro and Broadcaster) add storage, streaming destinations, team seats, API access and a lower platform take-rate, which falls from 10% on Free to 7% on Creator, 4% on Pro and 0% on Broadcaster.
- Do I need coding skills to launch a TV channel?
- No. Every workflow — going live, building a catalog, packaging a Roku, Fire TV or Android TV channel, and setting up payments — runs through guided admin panels. Code and API access are optional for advanced users.
- Which AI features does StreamBroadcaster include?
- It includes an AI Film Studio with one-click auto-film (script, storyboard, voiceover, music, video and vertical shorts), AI channel, episode, blog and SEO generation, an AI newsroom for the magazine blog, and a personal AI assistant. Creators can use built-in models or bring their own keys for OpenAI, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, Anthropic, Replicate, fal.ai, HeyGen, Pika, Suno, Ollama and more.
- How do creators make money on StreamBroadcaster?
- Creators earn through paid memberships, tips and Super Chats, VAST video advertising and banner ads, a built-in shop with creator storefronts and PayPal checkout, print-on-demand products, crowdfunding campaigns, an affiliate program, and licensing their work in the content marketplace.
- Can StreamBroadcaster publish to smart TVs?
- Yes. The same catalog can be published as native Roku, Fire TV and Android TV channels with generated catalog feeds, artwork validation and readiness checks, without maintaining separate developer pipelines.
- How does StreamBroadcaster handle content rights?
- The Content Marketplace lets channels license broadcast-ready episodes, clips, music and graphics from vetted creators with recorded rights and moderation review, so operators can fill a 24/7 schedule legally instead of using unlicensed material.
- Can StreamBroadcaster be self-hosted?
- Yes. The platform ships with Docker Compose, a Caddy reverse-proxy configuration and a one-click installer script for deployment on a VPS such as Contabo, in addition to the hosted cloud option.
- What live streaming protocols are supported?
- Browser-based publishing uses WHIP (WebRTC), hardware and software encoders publish over RTMP, and playback is delivered as adaptive HLS through a CDN, with multi-destination restreaming to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and X.
- Can I cancel or change my StreamBroadcaster plan at any time?
- Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your subscription at any time from the Account & Billing page. Upgrades apply immediately, and after cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- What is the StreamBroadcaster refund policy?
- Paid plans carry a 7-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied, cancel within 7 days of your subscription starting and the refund is issued automatically to your original payment method, minus a 30% cancellation fee.
- How much is the cancellation fee?
- A 30% cancellation fee is deducted from every refund. For example, a $100 payment refunded inside the 7-day window returns $70. After 7 days a subscription can still be cancelled, but the current period is non-refundable.
- Do I lose my channel or content when I cancel?
- No. Your channels, videos and shop stay in place. When the paid period ends your account returns to the free plan, and plan-gated features, storage quotas and the platform take-rate revert to free-plan limits.

Frequently asked questions
- What is StreamBroadcaster?
- StreamBroadcaster is an all-in-one live streaming and OTT platform that helps creators launch 24/7 TV channels, produce content with AI, distribute to smart TVs, and monetize with memberships, ads, tips, and a legal content marketplace.
- Do I need coding skills to launch a channel?
- No. Every workflow — from going live to publishing a Roku or Fire TV channel — is a guided admin panel. Coding is optional for advanced customizations.
- How does monetization work?
- You keep the majority of revenue. Take-rate scales with plan: Free 10%, Creator 7%, Pro 4%, Broadcaster 0%. Memberships, tips, ad revenue, and shop orders are all tracked in a platform earnings ledger.
- Is my content protected?
- Yes. The Content Marketplace issues signed license records for every asset, so both sides have a durable rights history. Row-level security and encrypted secrets protect operational data.
- What happens to inactive free accounts?
- Free accounts are locked after 30 days without activity and their stored media is cleared, which keeps the platform fast for everyone. The account itself is kept recoverable for a further 60 days and is only permanently deleted at day 90, so an account closed in error can be reinstated on request. Activity means any sign-in or action in the app, and every sign-in resets the clock. Paid plans are never deleted for inactivity — after 90 dormant days they are only suspended, and signing in restores them.
- Will I be warned before my free account is deleted?
- Yes. We email and show an in-app notice 7 days before deletion, with the exact lock date, a one-click way to keep the account by staying active, and a win-back discount if you would rather upgrade to a paid plan. You can export your content at any point before the deletion date.
- Can I sign up again after my free account is deleted?
- Yes — deletion for inactivity is not a ban. You can register again at any time with the same email; you simply start from a fresh free account. Accounts closed for abuse, fraud, or deliberate multi-account signups to bypass plan limits are a separate case and may be blocked from re-registering for up to 6 months under our Terms.
- How do you stop people creating dozens of free accounts?
- We rely on account-level signals rather than tracking cookies: verified email and phone, payment-instrument checks on upgrade, rate limits per network, and abuse review of linked accounts. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies or third-party fingerprinting for this, so the controls stay inside GDPR/ePrivacy-friendly first-party data you already gave us at signup.
