Welcome to our rundown of the most-watched branded YouTube videos of the week.
We’re publishing this snippet of a larger Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report in order to analyze sponsorship trends in the creator economy. Any video launched in tandem with an official brand partner is eligible for t he ranking.
And–as the name up above would imply–all the data comes from Gospel Stats. If you’re interested in learning more about Gospel–and which brands are sponsoring what creators on YouTube–click here. You can also download our YouTube 2025 Sponsorship Landscape Report here.
This week is all money, money, money in our Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report. First we have a big-cash challenge from MrBeast, then a pricey save from a car cam, and finally a Buc-ee’s smorgasbord with a little cash back on the side.
Check ’em all out below:
#1 Lose 150 Lbs Together, Win $250,000
Channel: MrBeast
Brand: Good Ranchers, Function Health, Step, iFIT
Views: 155,417,268
For the second time this month, MrBeast is at the top of our Gospel Stats Weekly Brand Report with a digital fatsuit thumbnail. And, just like last time, he’s not actually the one losing the weight.
Instead it’s Tre and Sara, who enter Jimmy Beast’s challenge with just under half a year to go till their wedding day. He (in usual Jimmy Beast style) locks them in a house together and provides thousands of dollars of gym equipment, personal trainers, dieticians, and food/gear/etc from the video’s bouquet of sponsors: Good Ranchers, Function Health, Step, and iFIT. If the couple can utilize all this stuff to lose a combined 150 pounds before saying “I do,” he’ll give them a quarter-million dollars.
Though MrBeast isn’t on the scale in his weight challenges these days, he did go through a fitness transformation a few years ago–which explains why all these health-sector companies are keen to sponsor him.
(Or it’s the fact that he’s the biggest YouTuber in the world. That helps too, we suppose.)
#2 The Absurd Engineering Behind the Internet
Channel: Veritasium
Brand: Saily
Views: 13,356,947
Given recent news, it’s probably better for all of us to know a little bit more about how the internet works.
Veritasium‘s latest video won’t help you fix holes in your code, but it will teach you about the physical infrastructure behind our modern internet–and how it all evolved from one physics teacher in the 1800s who wanted to see how thin he could get a strand of glass to be. That experiment was the birth of modern fiber optics, where slender glass threads are used to transmit data across thousands of miles at top speed.
Many of us now access the internet thanks to these threads. But if for some reason we can’t get a signal–say, while you’re visiting another country and your phone carrier is being finicky–Veritasium’s sponsor says it can help. This video is paid for by Saily, a telecom company that promises “affordable eSIM plans for international travel.”
You might expect travel-related ads to die off now that we’re heading into winter holidays, but in Saily’s case, things are still going strong. The brand paid for nearly 20 videos this week alone.
#3 Tesla Saves Owner From Prison
Channel: The Civil Rights Lawyer
Brand: Rocket Money
Views: 10,605,880
Here’s a situation that sucks: You pull into your driveway after dropping your kid off at school, close your garage door, and check your phone for the time. You’ve got a meeting in just a couple minutes.
Then, as you get out of your car, you hear what sounds like police sirens outside your garage, and become worried that an ambulance might be here for your elderly neighbor. So you crank the door back up, and come face to face with a police officer pointing his gun at you and screaming to get on your knees.
That’s what happened to Kevin Finley. The arresting officer accused him of reckless driving and knowingly fleeing from a traffic stop, a felony offense. But Finley got lucky. He was driving a car that records 360-degree video at all times, and his cams proved that not only was he not driving recklessly, but no reasonable person would have noticed the officer’s supposed “traffic stop.”
Finley is still deciding whether to file a civil suit, so it’s convenient that he gets to talk to YouTube’s specialist The Civil Rights Lawyer. This hourlong rundown of Finley’s case is sponsored by budget management app Rocket Money–something Finley might need if he walks away with a hefty settlement from his local PD.
#4 The Scariest Night of Our Lives (ft. Kalogeras Sisters)
Channel: Sam and Colby
Brand: BetterHelp
Views: 10,075,116
Sam and Colby have been through a lot of scary stuff together. So when they say an experience is the scariest night of their lives, they probably mean business.
Halloween is the time of year for this adventures spook-seeking duo. Each October, they run Hell Week, a seven-day super-drop of multiple extra-long videos. For the last few Octobers, they’ve put Hell Week productions in movie theaters. This year? They’re headed to Netflix.
But YouTube’s still bringing them plenty of traffic: This 70-minute video has clocked more than 10 million views for Sam and Colby–and their sponsor BetterHelp.
BONUS #3,526 we spent hundreds at Buc-ees so you dont have to
Channel: Caleb and Abby
Brand: Upside
Views: 69,321
Capping off our money theme for this week, we have a Buc-ee’s buffet with Caleb and Abby. The southern classic pitstop (reportedly) has some of the best road food in the USA. But does it live up to the hype?
Caleb and Abby drop big bills so viewers don’t have to, and along the way promote Upside, an app that says it can get you cash back on your purchases. According to its website, customers average 8% cash back on dining purchases…We wonder what percentage you get back on brisket.
…and there’s a lot more data where that came from. If you like our Weekly Top 5, you’ll love everything else Gospel has to offer.
